Why I hate Wal-Mart & this town!
Ugh! Tomorrow Ryan and I are taking David and Henry to the Zoo Lights in Portland (yay!) and my mom is going to watch the baby. I am still nursing Nolan (another yay!) but I don't ever pump and since we are going to be gone for a chunk of time tomorrow night I thought it would be best to pick up some ready made formula just in case. It's after nine, the kids are in bed and I head to Wal-Mart to buy a bottle. I also thought about picking up some bottle liners since that is a cost effective way of going BPA free. The only packages they have are of 100 liners, there is no way I would need that many so I don't want to waste my money. I decided just to get the formula. I head up to the check out and there are only two open but of course there are about 10 Wal-Mart employees standing around doing NOTHING. I get in one of the lines and there is a problem with something not ringing up right, two cashiers are trying to figure it out, finally I said forget it and took the formula to customer service and told the lady I wasn't waiting in line for 10 minutes to buy one thing and headed out the door!! What the heck Wal-Mart? You're going to pay all of these employees to be on the clock just to chit chat? So you ask... why do you hate the town Laura? Well because I live in grand 'ol Dallas that only has one store like Wal-Mart unless I want to go to Rite-Aid and pay double for something that is twice as old. So I ran to Safeway, got the formula for $1.78 less, still no liners but my stress level was significantly decreased!

A typical day...
Today was such a typical day in this house... the kids all woke up at 7 and Ryan asked to sleep an extra half hour. I grabbed three dipes and covers, came out and changed everyone. David and Henry were signing 'eat' like crazy so I got them some cereal to tide them over and went into the kitchen to start making pancakes. Two minutes later I hear glass shattering... wonderful! The big boys had been bulling the bulbs off of the tree and Henry broke one all over my new floor!! GRR!!! I was so bummed, the bulbs aren't anything fance, $4.88 at Walmart five years ago but I was just bummed... oh well, Ryan cleaned it up and then the boys ate their breakfast at the table like big boys and Nolan had pancakes too (for the first time!). I jump in the shower, get the boys dressed and we get ready to head out the door for a play date... the boys play great for about an hour and a half and we left to Costco for lunch and to pick up a few things. They did pretty good through Costco and everyone fell asleep on the way home, YAY!! I thought I might get to rest for a short time, nope! Nolan didn't want to take a nap and David decided to only sleep for 45 minutes, grr again! Oh well, he is a little clingy but I manage to get some pictures taken and get some things listed on craigslist, the kids are getting crazy so I make them some dinner while they are whining like crazy, driving Ryan and I both insane! We feed them some dinner but they are still whining and it's only 5:15PM!!! How are we going to survive another 75 minutes... I get the genious idea to put everyone in their jammies and jump in the car and go hunting for Christmas lights, we found some great ones and the big boys seemed to really like seeing the ones we found. Ryan and I decided we will go Christmas tree hunting every Monday night in December. We get home and they seem to go down easily... nope David is FREAKING out. I go in there, put him back in, Ryan goes in there and puts him back in. I throw the diapers in the washing machine and notice their bedroom light is on! They are in their playing so I put them back in their cribs and they start freaking out again and then I guess gave up and went to sleep suddenly... I'm ready to pass out and it is only 7:22PM!!
