Ryan and I have a system when it comes to bathing the boys. We bathe them all together, I wash them, he gets the big boys out of the tub while I get the baby. We take them into David and Henry's room. He dries their hair and I lotion and diaper them. He gets two of them dressed and I get the last one dressed, it works really well for us!
Yesterday was kind of a weird day anyway but it was a bath day none the less and we didn't adhere to our system as closely as usual. Henry has pooped on the floor a few times recently so I lotioned him up and threw a diaper, socks and his jammies at Ryan to put on. Then I moved onto Nolan and I noticed that Henry was dressed really fast, he usually does cooperate really well but I was definitely impressed! As I finished diapering Nolan and throwing his socks on Ryan exclaimed 'OH NO!! I don't think I put a diaper or socks on Henry'. So I felt Henry's bottom and sure enough there was no extra padding!!
Ryan chased Henry down and laid him down, unzipped his jammies and put his diaper and socks on, all the while Henry was laughing hysterically! It was so darn cute!

Playing catch up
I want to keep this up! It seems I get pulled in eight different directions when I decide to post though :)
Christmas was wonderful, just what I had in mind. Last year I decided that I was going to take a break from doing a big dinner so I could really enjoy the day with my family. The boys woke us up so we brought them out to their stockings and unwrapped presents, David was TOTALLY into it. Unwrapping presents that weren't even his. Henry was into it too but in typical (adorable) Henry fashion he was very particular and wanted to give us every little shred of paper he pulled off so it could be properly disposed of. Obviously Nolan just wanted to chew on the paper :)
Three days after Christmas David and Henry turned two years old. I still can't believe it. We had a party for them at the carousel and invited some other twin friends there age, we ate pizza and Auntie Melissa made them an amazing dump truck cake. They seemed to have so much fun. I think the next time we have a big party for them I'll have it catered so I can sit around and really enjoy the time with the boys.
Up next is Nolan's birthday. I just can't believe it! I hope by this time next year we are in a totally different place in our lives. New job, new house, new city... maybe a new baby on the way? :) Here's hoping 2009 is a year of changes for the May family!
