When this house was built in 1974 it had a garage but for some reason in 1979 the owners decided they didn't need a garage and remodeled it into a family room. Our house is then made up of a family room and a living room. What am I to do with all of this space? When I was pregnant with the twins it was very apparent that the family room would be given up to them and all of their accessories. They have a WHOLE room dedicated to keeping them happy, filled with probably thousands of dollars worth of toys (not always bought new of course!). Now why won't they stay in there?? Why does David, followed by Henry scale the gate 100000 times a day, leaving poor Nolan whimpering at the gate so they can tear apart the rest of my house, is it really that interesting?
I think they must do it just to see me squirm, or David just really enjoys time out :) Once he gets caught he puts his arms up 'Cury me' he requests and I'd be lying if I said it doesn't melt my heart... not one little bit!
Now that Ryan is back at work the biggest hurdle of my day is taking a shower. I haven't had this problem since the boys were 7 months old! I try bribing them with a Thomas movie and a snack but just as I'm rinsing my shampoo I have two peeping Toms sneaking their head around the shower curtain! The other solution is to 'lock' them all in D & H's room. The only problem with that is Nolan's apparent claustrophobia because he immediately starts screaming at the door. It's amazing my neighbors haven't called child services on me yet! Thank God for old, sweet, deaf neighbors right!?!
Maybe I should just stop showering all together, most people don't know what to say to me in public anyway other than 'You sure have your hands full' or 'Are they all yours?'. Bless the sweet gentleman at story time on Tuesday. He thought I was their babysitter... I've been trying to convince myself since Tuesday morning that he just thought I was too young to have three children, not that any mother in her right mind would allow her children to act that way in a library :) Another MoM friend told me about that library's story time. The librarian was really great but so many of the kids were so well behaved! I'm used to our special private story times at the big library downtown for just our multiples group. 80% of the kids only pay attention to the songs, like my kiddos. Why sit down where there is a new room to explore?? Oh the joys of 3 under 3.

3 under 3?! My, you do have your hands full! My kids would only play in their playroom if I was there with them. The minute I left there would always be screaming! As for showers--I had to start taking them at night. Oh, those were the days! Thanks for your sweet comment on my son's NERF gun party! I'm sure you'll have many, many cool boy parties!
